The first sell-out edition of Weekend Journal was self published in 2016. It is the brainchild of travel writer Milly Kenny-Ryder, who first came to Cornwall as a child with her artist parents. Milly, along with her photographer brother Gabriel and husband, the designer Simon Lovell, has created a series that is not merely functional but designed to be admired and collected.

Tucked at the back of the journal there are also exclusive interviews with the chef Nathan Outlaw and the curator of Tresco Abbey Gardens, Mike Nelhams. Tom Kay, the founder of Finisterre, tells his story and what brought him to Cornwall.

My only complaint is that I wanted more! More individual artisans, more gorgeous galleries and more tempting eateries! With our vibrant creative commuities increasingly becoming an essential and integral part of what makes this county so special. It’s time to celebrate this with more publications like this one.
